FreshCup Magazine Joins Coffee Culture Travel as Official Media Partner for the 2026 Harvest

We’re incredibly excited to announce that FreshCup Magazine is the official media partner for Coffee Culture Travel’s 2026 harvest experiences in Antigua, Guatemala.
FreshCup has long been one of the most thoughtful, trusted voices in specialty coffee, telling the deeper stories of producers, operators, and communities that make this industry so meaningful. Partnering with them feels less like a formal collaboration and more like a natural alignment of shared values, curiosity, and love for coffee’s origin stories.

Personally, I’ve admired what Garrett Oden has built with FreshCup over the years. When I first told Garrett about Coffee Culture Travel, his reaction was immediate. There was a familiar spark in his eye, the one you see when someone knows a place is special. Anyone who has spent real time in Antigua understands that feeling. The city has a way of pulling you deeper into coffee, culture, and perspective.
Garrett recently reflected on his own first visit to Antigua, and his words perfectly capture why this partnership matters so much:
“I didn't realize it at the time, but visiting Antigua in 2016 was what really solidified for me that I am a coffee person. This is what I do. This is the industry I love most. These are the people I want to surround myself with. On that trip, I got to work several days in a cafe alongside local baristas and learn about their practices and coffee culture through poor Spanish. I also got to visit multiple farms and learn from producers who were both optimistic about specialty coffee and concerned about climate change. It changed how I looked at the industry broadly and allowed me to see the bigger picture of beauty, but also inequity. In a sense, it radicalized me to become an advocate for business practices that spread prosperity more thoughtfully. Antigua was a great place to have this experience and I love that Coffee Culture Travel is making it more accessible.”— Garrett Oden

That sentiment sits at the heart of Coffee Culture Travel.
Our goal has always been to create origin experiences that go beyond surface-level tourism—inviting people into cafés, farms, conversations, and moments that shape how they understand coffee and their role within the industry. Antigua is not just beautiful; it’s formative. It’s a place where coffee becomes personal, where questions about sustainability, equity, climate, and community come into sharper focus.

Having FreshCup as our official media partner for the 2026 harvest means these stories, of producers, baristas, travelers, and the places that connect them, will be told with the depth and care they deserve. Together, we’ll document the harvest season, amplify local voices, and share real, on-the-ground perspectives from one of the world’s most influential coffee regions.
We’re honored to work alongside FreshCup and Garrett, and we can’t wait to share what unfolds during the 2026 harvest in Antigua. This is just the beginning of a partnership rooted in curiosity, respect, and a shared belief that coffee, when approached thoughtfully, can be a force for connection and positive change.
Stay tuned ... there’s much more to come.
